Each Monday night at 9pm, I sit round the computer for an hour and watch a live Twitter feed. Welcome to online social networking.
The site is @BritishBizParty using #BritishBizParty tag. One business is chosen to be buisness of the week where everyone who posts adds your #tag at the end of each tweet. A very simple, effective and cheap way to get some promotion and advertising out of it.
You also get the chance to discover lots of other small businesses trying to start up and build a community. And like any other networking group you begin to form business friendships.
I was chosen tonight to be the #starbiz for the week, which was great fun and I was glad to be part of it. During that hour I was involved with 40 tweets and had 3366 organic impressions with another 900 the following day.
